Transport for London’s Underground in Bloom

final TUBE POSTER

Brief: To promote Underground in Bloom for Covent Garden Tube Station.

Underground in Bloom is a Summer campaign set out by Transport For London. Staff from 68 competing stations, depots and train crew sites have been up to their knees in mud, plants and compliments in a bid to grow and display the most beautiful flowers.

Results: We created a simple and fun poster for the team at Covent Garden

We then received this fantastic thank you note from Covent Garden Station Supervisor, Pele Bapere…

‘Last night at the Underground in Bloom award ceremony our floral display was awarded the First Prize in the Community Engagement category. Your support, sponsorship in designing the poster and inspired idea of the poster helped make our display a spectacular visual treat. The judges commented when they were viewing our display that the poster brought everything together and explained to the public what this was all about. The poster also hammered home the point of how we engaged with our local community. The judges loved the poster and the idea behind it – this we believe, won us that first prize.

The public response to our Underground in Bloom display this year was overwhelming. And after last night’s award ceremony the team at Covent Garden are just plain ecstatic and overjoyed. On behalf of Steve, Louise, Jonathan and everyone else at Covent Garden Station, thank you so very much.’
